Hyde School PRIVACY POLICY
Hyde School has created this privacy policy (the “Policy”) in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for this website: www.hyde.edu . If at any time you find this Policy unacceptable, you must immediately leave the Website.
This Policy applies to information we collect:
  • On the Website;
  • In email, text, and other electronic messages between you and the Website; or
  • [Other sources].
This Policy does not apply to information collected by:
  • Us offline or through other means, including on any other website operated by the School or any third party; or
  • Any third party, including through any application or content (including advertising) that may link to or be accessible from or through the Website.
We respect your privacy. Any personal information we collect from you, including your email address, will simply be used (a) to send you the information you have requested; (b) to fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it; (c) to carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us; (d) to notify you about changes to the Website; (e) in any other way we may describe when you provide the information; and (f) for any other purpose with your consent. We will not give or sell your personal information to any unaffiliated third party except (i) to comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request; (ii) to enforce our terms of use and other agreements; and (iii) if we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect our rights, property, or safety, our customers, or others.

Information Gathering
We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer the Website by (1) identifying which parts of the Website are most heavily used, (2) to tailor Website content to user needs, and (3) to generate aggregate statistical reports. We do not link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable. This means that user sessions will be tracked, but the users will remain anonymous.

You need not provide us with personally identifying information (e.g., name, telephone number, email address, city and/or state of residence) as a condition of using the Website. However, your failure to provide certain personally identifying information when asked will prevent certain features of the Website from functioning or will prevent us from effectively responding to certain of your requests. The Website will collect only that personally identifying information that you affirmatively provide in response to a direct request.

We use a tool called "Google Analytics" to collect information about use of the Website. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit the Website, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites they used prior to coming to the Website. We use the information we get from Google Analytics only to improve the Website. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to your browser on the date of your visit, instead of your name or other identifying information. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with any personally identifiable information. Although Google Analytics plants a "cookie" on your web browser to identify you as a unique user the cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google. Google's ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to the Website is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy. You can prevent Google Analytics from recognizing your return visits to the Website by disabling cookies on your browser. Please refer to your browser settings for additional information on disabling cookies or visit Google Analytics' currently available opt-outs for the web.

Third Party Sites
Links within the Website may connect to external sites outside of our domain as a convenience to you. If you use these links, you will leave the Website. These external sites may use cookies alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use the Website. The information they collect may be associated with your personal information or they may collect information, including personal information, about your online activities over time and across different websites and other online services. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based (behavioral) advertising or other targeted content. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites, and do not make any representations about them. Before visiting or providing personally identifying information to any third-party website, you should review its privacy policy and practices, and should take those steps necessary to, in your discretion, protect your privacy.

Accessing and Correcting Your Information
If you give us your email and permission to send more information, you may opt out of receiving any additional email messages at any time, by unsubscribing from our email list.  You may also send us an email to request access to, correct, or delete any personally identifiable information that you have provided to us.  Residents of certain states, such as California and Nevada, may have additional rights and choices (additional information regarding privacy rights of California residents can be found here: https://oag.ca.gov/privacy/ccpa).
