Hyde School Family Program — A Cornerstone of the Hyde Experience
Strengthen Families. Support Students. Build Character Together.
The Hyde Family Program is a defining part of our school community and a key element of the character-based education Hyde provides. We believe that when students grow, families grow too—and when families are engaged, students achieve stronger, more meaningful outcomes.
Our Family Program brings parents into the Hyde curriculum, offering tools, workshops, and experiences that strengthen communication, deepen trust, and support a student’s personal growth from adolescence through young adulthood.
Why the family program matters
A Shared Growth Model
Hyde recognizes that lasting change happens when the school and home work together. The Family education department helps parents understand their child’s development, reflect on their own experiences, and learn strategies that reinforce Hyde’s character and leadership model.
A Supportive Community
Parents join a inviting, committed community of families who, regardless of background or location, share similar hopes and challenges. Together, families build connections, share insights, and support one another throughout their Hyde school journey.
Tools for Stronger Communication
Through parent coaching, workshops, and guided discussions, families learn practical communication skills that reduce conflict, build empathy, and strengthen relationships at home.

Parenting
Gain resources and tools to help us be the best parents we can be
Three important things Hyde taught me about parenting:
-
It’s not my job to make my children happy; it’s my job to inspire them with the way I live my life.
-
I cannot parent from fear, anger, control or guilt; I must parent from my principles.
-
A sense of humor is important; I need to have the humility to laugh at myself.

Family Excellence
Understand our strengths and challenges in order to reach our best as a family
Our Hyde School experience gave us the tools we needed to grow as individuals to be be our best selves. This created a family relationship where we are all continue to challenge and support one another.
