Parenting Workshop – Burlington, VT
February 17, 2011 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Most parents and teachers today are aware of the challenges of raising children of character: a culture of affluence, achievement and the world of technology are just a few examples of the challenges parents face today. What can be done to bring the family together? What are the resources available to parents that can offer them guidance and support as they strive to do their best with the biggest job they’ll ever have? Join Laura on March 30 as she offers her perspective and parenting techniques that can make a difference.
Laura Gauld is Executive Director of the Hyde Schools, a network of college preparatory schools dedicated to the development of character and leadership. She is co-author of the book, The Biggest Job We’ll Ever Have: Find the Right Balance Between Character and Achievement for Your Child (Scribner). Laura has earned a national reputation as a top motivational speaker on parenting, family dynamics and character education. She has been featured on PBS, in her own parenting series on NBC in Maine and Connecticut, and numerous other television, radio programs and publications throughout the country.
