Harrison Gauld Memorial Fund
To honor the memory of Harrison Gauld, grandson of founder Joseph Gauld, son of Malcolm and Laura, and brother to Mahalia and Scout, the Hyde School Board of Governors established a memorial fund to honor his spirit by opening doors for others.
The Gauld family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love and support from the community since Harrison’s untimely passing. From the many stories being remembered, it is clear Harrison’s presence on and around campus deeply impacted many Hyde students, their families, staff and faculty members.
For those of you requesting a way to donate in his memory, the Harrison Gauld Scholarship Fund has been established to support deserving families needing financial assistance to attend Hyde School. Thank you for wanting to honor Harrison’s memory in this meaningful way. If you wish to make a gift by check, please make your check out to Hyde School. Please contact Susan Brennan at sbrennan@hyde.edu or 207-443-7106 with any questions you may have.

Malcolm, Laura, Scout and Mahalia and the family extend their heartfelt gratitude for making an everlasting impact at Hyde School in Harrison’s memory.
Founder's Legacy Fund
We are excited to announce that the Founder, Joey Gauld, has pledged a $1 million dollar gift to endow Hyde School’s Blanche Gauld Scholarship Fund. Joe is celebrating his 95th birthday this year and decided it was a good time to make a significant gift to his favorite cause. The Fund will assist deserving families to attend Hyde School.
On a modest salary during his professional life and with a frugal financial mindset (for his family and Hyde), he managed to save and grow a healthy nest egg over the years. Through his generous gift, his life’s commitment to find a better way through character education will continue to serve kids long after his time here.
He chose to endow scholarships because he believes kids shouldn’t be denied a Hyde education because they lack the financial means to access it. These students positively influence the peer character culture and help create the “magic in the walls.”
Hyde School has helped thousands of families since its inception in 1966. Students and parents from all eras have expressed gratitude for how their lives have been transformed by the Hyde process. Joe hopes this gift inspires others to make a legacy gift to ensure the vibrancy of the Hyde mission will carry well into the future to help the next generations of students and families.

Campus Center Campaign
The Campus Center is a space in the heart of our campus dedicated to building community through performing arts, public speaking and unique Hyde teaching moments.
The Campus Center is in need of renovations to better serve student life and recreation. Portions of the building require updates and improvements for current use, while others must be reimagined to find their best use for today’s and future Hyde students. Our vision is to create inviting, attractive spaces where our students will want to perform as well as socialize and relax.
Speaking with confidence is unique and immediately noticeable in Hyde alumni. Taking students out of their comfort zone and teaching them to command a room is one of the core Hyde experiences. Whether we are singing, dancing or sharing in a school meeting, it all happens here. This is the heart of our campus.
