WIDWID #97 – Moral Support From a Young Alum

This has been “Back to School Week” with the faculty madly preparing for the return of our students for the 2009-10 academic year. Hyde-Bath teacher Claire Grant was conducting a faculty training session when she received an unexpected gift of moral support from a recent alum. She writes:

“Today in the AV Room, we finished our new faculty training session and when I raised the screen, this message was on the board from an ’06 alum who paid us a visit yesterday…he is a college student in Japan and doing very well…he had walked around campus and then wrote the following on the board before departing:

Students- You don’t realize how lucky you are to be here at Hyde…make the most of your time and you will always remember and never regret this experience! – ’06 Alum

I can’t say for sure just how much this will move the students, but I absolutely know that the faculty have been given yet another reason to appreciate Why We Do What We Do.
