I just got back from an uplifting graduation weekend at Hyde-Woodstock. Here are two memorable lines from the big day:
“This is the toughest graduation I’ve ever earned. It was tougher than law school. Tougher than college. And it was definitely tougher than high school.” – a graduating father at the HAPA Senior Parent Breakfast.
“My sense of curiosity forces me to ask: 1) How come the fridge has a light but the freezer doesn’t? 2) Which happens first – you open your eyes or you wake up? 3) Why do crackers have holes?” – Derwyn Johnson ’09, a graduate from Oakland, CA and headed to Occidental College.
