-By Hyde Staff

When Corey Begly arrived at the Hyde School, he was still uncertain of his future. He knew he loved to teach and he knew he would love to coach but had no idea of the success that would follow. In the 2016-2017 season he led the men’s basketball team to a 20-7. record and was named the NEPSCAC Class C co-coach of the year. His final record as a coach at Hyde was 58-20 and he has since moved up the coaching ranks to Lead Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Connecticut College but as Corey reflects back on his time at Hyde, it wasn’t always on the court where he saw his greatest growth as a person.
