Wolfpack Girls Varsity Lax Takes on Hebron, 17-8

Hyde 17- Hebron 8

The Wolfpack faced a solid Hebron team on Wednesday in a home Maisad contest. The Jacks started the game with 2 unanswered goals until the Pack woke up. Reeling off seven unanswered goals while holding Hebron scoreless for 21 minutes, Hyde dominated the first half. Synergy between draw specialists Logan Truluck ’20 and Bailey Kent ’18 accounted for 13 draw controls and put possession time in the Wolfpack’s favor. In the goal Maranda Cully ’20 showed fierce resistance to letting a ball get past her. The Hyde defensive four played extremely well shutting out Hebron’s chances of scoring. In the second half Emma Geertgens’19 and Liza Burroughs ’18 again converted attacks in fast breaks which led to scores for the Pack. The Hyde keys to victory this week were possession off the draw and fighting hard for ground balls. Hyde travels to face Gould Academy this Saturday April 29th at 2 pm.
