Wolfpack Varsity Lax Over St. Andrews 15-2

Over the weekend, the Wolfpack hosted St. Andrews School from Barrington,Rhode Island in SENE league action. Alex Sobel ’17, took the opening face-off and gained possession and hit attackman Ian White ’18 for a 1-0 lead ten seconds into the contest. Jake Vasapolli ’18 and Cooper Felt ’19 each helped power the Wolfpack to a 3-0 lead five minutes into the game. The Hyde defense led by goalie Ian Cooke ’18, and defensemen Quentin Felder ’18, Nic loris ’18 and senior Ben Damschroder ’17 shut down the St. Andrews offense and Hyde went into halftime with a 8-0 lead.

The second half was much of the same with Sobel dominating the face-off X with his stellar hustle & groundball play and the Wolfpack had something to cheer about when defensmen Quentin Felder ’18, went coast to coast and scored his first goal of the season to help lead us to victory 13-2. Ian White ’18 led all scorers with 5 goals & 2 assists. Jake Vasapolli ’18 was awarded the  Green Jacket for Best & Fairest for his outstanding play and Alex Sobel ’17 was awarded the Pink Jacket for his all out hustle and desire throughout the game.
