St. Andrews 53
On Saturday December 3rd, the Hyde Wolfpack had their season opener against the St. Andrews school. The first half was ver uptempo, constant lead changes and runs back and forth. For the Wolfpack, Khalil Johnson ’17 lead the team in scoring in the first half scoring 13 points. Going into the locker room for half time, the Wolfpack found themselves leading by a slight margin.
In the second half of the game, the Wolfpack showed their intensity, starting with Ian Ricketts ’17 who dominated the glass, racking up 8 second half rebounds and finished the game with 4 points. In addition to Ian on the glass, Michael St. Laurent ’17 found his much needed shooting touch in the second half, scoring 10 points, including two 3 pointers. Aaron Petion ’17 had 12 points and was a key contributor on the defensive side of the ball forcing a couple of turnovers. The Wolfpack ended up coming out with an easy 70-53 win thanks to the second half surge. They next face The Williams School on the road.
