Hyde 14

New Hampton 35

On Saturday, the Wolfpack hosted the Huskies of New Hampton School. It was a competitive and tough football game that was much closer than the score indicated. The Huskies took a slim 14-6 lead into half time and at the start of the fourth quarter Hyde scored to make it 21-14. New Hampton found the end-zone twice more in the fourth quarter to stretch the lead to 35-14.

Hyde scored in the first quarter when Ian Ricketts ’17 scampered off tackle for a 28 yard run. The point-after-try by Jakob Robinson ’19 was blocked. Later in the game, QB Jake Vasapolli ’18 found wide receiver Teddy St. Louis ’18 for a 30 yard touchdown pass. PG running back Jordan Knight ’17 ran in the two point conversion.

Defensive Player-of-the-Game was junior linebacker Ippokratis Georgiadis ’18. Ipp was in on numerous tackles all afternoon and brought a great energy to the defense.

Hyde will hit the road for the last time next Saturday and travel Andover, NH to take on Proctor Academy for a 6pm start.
