Phoenix Boys Thirds Soccer Falls to MCI 1-7

September 19, 2016

Hyde School 3rds soccer:1 –  MCI: 7

Hyde’s 3rd’s soccer team hosted MCI’s JV team at home yesterday at 4:30. The muggy weather didn’t slow us down, and the team showed great energy and stamina through both 35 minute half’s. The first half Hyde held MCI to two goals and had two very close scoring opportunities that where thwarted by the MCI skilled goalie. In the second half we gave up a few goals early but a late goal by Micheal Muench assisted by Jeremy Jing gave some new energy to the team. Although a loss of the first game is tough the team was very positive at the end knowing they had faced a tough team but were able to hold there own. (They were also very excited not to have to get back in dress code for dinner as our game didn’t end until 6pm). A few  shout-outs to Sky Grossman, who played some exceptional defense and Danny Zhang had a great game in mid field moving the ball into scoring position multiple times.
