Seacoast Christian School/Hebron Academy/North Yarmouth Academy Track Meet – 4/23/16
The Hyde School boys and girls track teams hosted Seacoast, Hebron and North Yarmouth in our third track meet of the year. It was a wonderful day for a track meet with partly cloudy skies and a cool breeze.

Girls Meet:

While Hyde does have a small squad in comparison to the other teams, that did not stop them from performing in full force. Gloria Feuer ’17 took first in the javelin with a throw of 72’05” and fourth in the discus (60’01”), with both marks qualifying her for the New England Championship Meet. Patricia Mudogo ’17 launched into a second place finish in the discus with a NE qualifying mark of 62’5”.
Other notable personal records:
Kessia Mugabo ‘17 48’10” in the discus… a 6 foot improvement
Patricia Mudogo 47’03” in the javelin… a 6 foot – 10 inch improvement
Heaven Redd ‘16 23’04” in the triple jump…a 1 foot improvement
Boys Meet:

The boys team competed neck and neck with Hebron all day long. Trevor Saucier ‘16 took first in the 100m (11.04) and the 200m (24.63). Demeke Geremew ’17 sped to another first place in the 1500m (4:27…a personal record) and a first in the 3000m (9:57). Evans Kagame ’16 came in first with a personal record of 2:19 followed by Jack He ’18 in third (2:46). Evans also jumped into second place in the high jump (5’4”) following Serge Mudogo ’18 in first (5’4”). James Scharpf ’16 had an incredible day qualifying for the New England Championship meet in both the discus (90’04”) and the javelin (129’04”) where he placed second.

George Geertgens ‘16 13.36 in the 100m… a 5 second improvement
Daniel Hudson ‘18 20’01” in the shot put… a 2 foot improvement
Dan Morgenstern ‘16 88’07” in the discus… a 6 foot – 9 inch improvement
Jason Tang ‘16 77’07” in the javelin… a 10 foot improvement
Our next meet is at Sacopee Valley on Tuesday against Old Orchard Beach, Seacoast Christian School and the host… a 3:30PM start.
