Wolfpack Boys Varsity Lacrosse Shuts Out St. Andrews En Route To 15-0 Win

Barrington, RI (04/11/16)

Hyde 15, St. Andrews 0

The Wolfpack continued their dominating league play on Monday as they traveled to St. Andrews for their second SENE game of the season. The boys got off to a very strong start, outscoring the competition 7 to 0 during the first quarter. The offense was once again led by Reese Norton ’17 who accounted for four goals and a few assists as well as stepping in at LSM position to help the team while man down. Also stepping up with a big game from the attack position was Ian White ’18 who scored four times and really impressed the coaches with his determined play.

The defensive unit as a whole was the real star of the game, as earning a shutout in lacrosse is an extremely rare occasion. Quintin Felder ’18, Wren Piper ’16, Omri West ’16, Tyler Dewees ’16, and Aaron Petion ’17 all played phenomenal shut-down defense in front of our goaltender Ian Cooke ’19, who continues his strong play to start the season. The scoring was rounded out with goals coming from Kris Carrol ’16, Alex Sobel ’17, Sean Duffy ’17, and Anthony Martocchio ’16. The Wolfpack come home Wednesday with a tough test from out-of-conference Suffield. Please come out and show your support!
