Rocky Hill 6
The Wolfpack opened their league play with an emphatic victory over Rocky Hill. Coming off a season opening loss to Portsmouth Abbey a few short days ago, the Wolfpack were hungry to test themselves again. Hyde came out guns blazing in the first quarter, scoring a number of unanswered goals to put some distance between themselves and their opponents. As the half continued, the Wolfpack continued to pour it on, going into the half with a large lead. In the second half, Rocky Hill battled back, showing great resolve and determination despite the lopsided score.
Hyde had great offensive production in Friday’s match up. Reese Norton ’17 led all scorers with 5 goals and 3 assists. The Wolfpack also got production from a number of other players, contributing goals and assists, including Alex Sobel ’17, Kieth Scafe ’18, Ian White ’18, and Devin Peterson ’16. Hyde’s defense was anchored by goalie Ian Cooke ’19 who continued to make great stops. Moving forward the Wolfpack are eager to build on Friday’s success and continue to improve as we get deeper into the spring and the competition continues to heat up. Please come out and support the Wolfpack as they take on Suffield Academy at Home on Wednesday!
