On Saturday, Hyde welcomed the Hornets of Proctor Academy for an Evergreen League divisional match-up. After tough losses the previous week for both teams, the game was an opportunity for both teams to get a win. Proctor scored first on a safety after pinning the Wolfpack way back to take an early 2-0 lead. Proctor scored again in the second quarter and took an 8-0 lead into halftime. The Wolfpack moved the ball well between the twenties but stalled drives and turnovers contributed to a tough day offensively overall. Proctor found the end-zone twice more in the second half and secured a 21-0 victory.
Despite the game not going well for Hyde, numerous players played very tough and had really good days on the field. Quarterback/linebacker Reese Norton ’17 and Running back/linebacker Jordan Burney ’16 once again led the team with their passion and commitment. Seniors Wren Piper ’16 and Tyler Dewees ’16 also put their hearts into the game.
The Wolfpack will wrap up the season this Saturday at 2pm here in Woodstock when we host the Phoenix of Hyde School, Bath, Maine.
