Wolfpack JV Girls Soccer Plays BCA on Home Turf

Hyde vs Barrington Christian Academy

Woodstock (September 26, 2015) – The Wolfpack JV Girls Soccer team played a stellar game this past Saturday on our home turf – our first in conference game of the season. The girls came out strong and played all the way to the end of the game. While Barrington Christian Academy proved to be strong competition, the JV girls took command of the ball and communicated as a team. Molly Yue ’18 proved to rule the midfield and attack, as she made consistently made herself available to her teammates and made great passes. Our defense also proved to be tough and resilient. Caramia Davis ’16 and Nina Janjigian ‘18 were the first to mark up on defense, and Claudia Salhany ’18 used her amazing punt to clear the ball out of our defense time and time again. The incredible Daisy Humsey ’16 used her raw athleticism to save multiple shots on goal, and only let 2 goals from the opposition slip past her. Demi Flack ’16, a Senior and leader of the team, unfortunately suffered a major blow – a fractured elbow – towards the end of the game. Demi walked off the field like a true athlete and continued to cheer on her team. Shoutout to Senior Joanna Ren ’16 who stepped in to play with the JV team – Joanna absolutely domineered the field! One moment she was on defense, the next she was attacking the opposition’s goal, then she was in the midfield. Joanna was relentless, aggressive, and used her skills to expertly advance our ball up the field. Great game JV!
