Yesterday we were lucky enough to host our first boys cross country meet of the season! It was a gorgeous day with blue skies, a light breeze, and the front lawn full of supporters. The beautiful conditions for running allowed for some strong performances. Fifteen of the twenty-two team members competed. Injuries and a couple of disciplinary issues left the others as course guides. A total of 60 boys competed in the race.
We were very pleased with their efforts and see a lot of potential. As a team we finished third out of the four scoring teams. Demeke Geremew `17 was our lead runner of the day finishing 3rd overall. Gatouche Pan `17 came in as our number two runner finishing 10th and was quickly followed by Isaiah Trial `16 in 11th place. Next up were Andre Allen `16 in 17th place and Evan Davis `17 in 28th place. Our sixth and seventh place displacers went to Jack He `18 (38th place) and Lwazi Rennert `16 (47th place). Our pack time of 4:08 (the time difference between our first runner and fifth runner) is an area we are working to improve upon.
Individual boy’s results are attached.
