This Saturday the girls lacrosse team lucked out with yet again a beautiful day for lacrosse. The week had been tough after having already played 3 games, but the girls were determined to put up a fight for their last game of the season. The warm-up started off strong with positive energy from everyone, however, the game did not reflect the warm-up. The girls struggled to pull together as a team, focusing more on their run and gun game and not so much on their passing. Despite this there were some great highlights. Allison Guan ’16 had a great game as she constantly knocked down PCD’s passes, causing many turnovers. Tina She ’16, Joanna Ren ’16, Leah Taylor ‘16 were once again anchors in the midfield as they hustled to every ground ball and provided opportunities on offense. Lila Paulsen ’15 was aggressive in net stepping out and making some amazing saves. Earlier in the week the girls were taught 2 plays. Tracy He ’16 called the play “wolfpack” and scored, scoring Hyde’s only goal of the game. After the goal the girls rallied to finish the game strong playing as a unit and not individually. Most of the girls came into this season having never played before or even seen a game, however, throughout the course of the season they have grown as lacrosse players individually, but more importantly as a team.
