Portsmouth Abbey- 17
The Hyde Varsity Girls Lacrosse team traveled to Rhode Island today to take on Portsmouth Abbey’s JV squad. It was a game we thought would be winnable but unfortunately the team did not show up to play. Their lack luster attitude at practice Tuesday proved to translate into their performance today. Despite the overall complacency there were a few positives to note. Tracy He ’16 showed consistent effort as she has all season proving again to be an anchor in the defense and for the team as a whole. Joanna Ren ’16 fought hard through the midfield. The best play of the day came from Katherine Li ’17 who won her first draw control of the season by winning the 50-50 air ball and running with confidence up the field to start the attack.
Overall it was a disappointing day for the team. This will be a true test of resilience as the girls look to bounce back and get better in practice tomorrow.
