Hyde Bath- 12
The Hyde Woodstock girls lacrosse team came out on Saturday of Family weekend fired up. They were ready to bring their A-game and leave it all on the field. Once again our defense, led by Molly Yue ’18 and Tracy He ‘16, was a brick wall making it very hard for the Hyde Bath girls to get through to cage. Both Katherine Li ’17 and Allison Guan ’16 showed great improvement on their defensive positioning. Tina She ’16 continued to be aggressive on the draw winning multiple draw controls. Joanna Ren ’16 displayed great strength and determination as she ran the midfield the whole game, hustling to every ground ball and never giving up. Through teamwork and hard work the Woodstock girls were able to find the back of the net 6 times through 3 different players: Emma Deary ’15 (3 goals), Maddie O’Connor ’16 (2 goals), and Leah Taylor ’16 (1 goal). Taylor also led the team in ground balls. The highlighted play was a beautiful pass from Vivian Yu ’17 off a free start to Deary resulting in a goal. Big shout out to Annika Morris ’18 for doing an awesome job in her first game as goalie.
Wish the girls luck as we travel to Portsmouth Abbey for a game today!
