Tabor Bench Takes Toll for Wolfpack JV Boys

Saturday February 21, 2015

Hyde School 54
Tabor Academy 85

On Saturday, the boys J.V. team traveled to Tabor Academy to take on the Seawolves. Tabor had a very big team both in terms of size and numbers. The first half was a bit of a struggle for Hyde as we found ourselves in immediate foul trouble. Somehow, as it seemed, we made it out of the first half down only six points and still felt very much in the game despite the serious foul trouble.

Eventually, the depth of the Tabor bench took its toll and fresh legs began to beat us up the court and they continually extended the lead throughout the second half. I was happy with the way the boys competed. It was a frustrating game to be a part of and we all fought through it. Being in constant foul trouble made it difficult for Hyde to get in a flow but we battled. Hats off to a very good Tabor team.

A big shout out goes to Sean Conigliaro and Dan Oleson for playing many minutes and pounding under the boards and competing.

An even bigger shout out goes to Kevin Ge who was the only player to not come off the floor the entire game. He played his heart out.

Scoring was as follows:
Tyler Jenkins 12; Tyler Dewees 15; Sean Conigliaro 4; Justin Allard 4; Kevin Ge 15; Jack Greenberg 4.

We will wrap up the season with a trip to Deerfield on Saturday 2:00pm.

Go Wolfpack!
