Wolfpack JV Boys Bring Season Record to 11-4 vs Putnam Science

Wednesday, February 18th

Hyde School 51
Putnam Science 48

On Wednesday, the boys J.V. team hosted Putnam Science for a rematch of an earlier contest in which we lost on a last second buzzer beater. As expected, the game was very physical and back and forth. Hyde went into half time with a one point advantage. The second half continued to be a physical contest with both teams reaching the double bonus with about four minutes to go.

During a timeout with less than three minutes to play, Hyde found itself down four points and the tension was high. On the ensuing possession, Tyler Dewees drained a critical three and then Tyler Jenkins stole the inbounds pass and quickly put in a layup. This quick five point swing forced PSA into a timeout and gave Hyde a one point lead and some serious momentum. Hyde was able to seal the win with solid free throw shooting.

Once again, Justin Allard dominated the paint and scored 33 points including 11 of 17 from the charity stripe. It was a great performance from Justin.

The win brings the team record to 11-4. We have two games left and look forward to traveling to Tabor Academy on Saturday for a 2:00pm contest.

Go Wolfpack!
