The Hyde Phoenix made the long trek to upstate New Hampshire to take on the Bulls of Holderness School. In a game where heart would matter more than talent and numbers, the Phoenix came up short. Highlights of the game: sportsmanship on both sides of the ball. Veteran players Toby Taradiena and Deontae Crumitie maintained a strong positive effort and composure as an already depleted team, lost key players to injury. Young players such as Jake Dawson ’18 and James Bristow’18 both displayed heart and grit as they stepped in to fill voids. Ryan Moran ’15 normally an offensive lineman, stepped up to play corner back for the first time and held his own.
The Phoenix need to re-load, re-boot and dig very deep to get ready to take on a tough Lumberjack team from Hebron Academy next weekend.
Next Game: SATURDAY Nov 1
Away vs. Hebron Academy @ 2:45 pm
