Another Win for Phoenix BVS vs. Kents Hill, 5-1

Kents Hill school traveled to Bath to play the first MAISAD match of the season.  The contest was played on a natural grass pitch under sunny skies and warm late summer conditions.

Hyde had a few nice chances on goal early in the match, but finally found the back of the net in the 26th minute whenBen Mooney`16 scored a pretty header goal off post graduate Abdibaari Hersi’s corner kick.  The score at the half was 1-0.

Gatouch Pan`17 found post graduate Abdibaari Hersi 2 minutes into the second half to go up 2-0.  Shortly after that, Abdibaari Hersi returned the favor and passed the ball forward from midfield on the right wing to Gatouch Pan`17 who ran onto the ball,  got one touch on it and put it in the net.  In the 59th minute Abdibaari Hersi was fouled in the box earning a penalty kick.  Hersitook the kick and converted for his second goal of the match.  Ten minutes later forward James Kellogg`15 was taken down in the box and also received a penalty kick.  Captain Andrew Davis`15 took it and scored to make it 5-0.  Kents Hill scored on a penalty kick in the 71st minute.  Kents Hill was awarded a penalty kick with less than 3 minutes remaining.  Captain and keeper Noah Horning`15 made a brilliant diving save to block the PK.  Other notable play came from Captain Kiefer Cundy`15 playing center midfield and Dylan Budd`16 at left winger.  The next contest is at home against Hoosac School at 4:00 on Saturday September 20th.
