Hyde Woodstock Boys Varsity Soccer vs. MacDuffie
The Wolfpack looked to bounce back and net their first win of the season at home against MacDuffie. The boys came out with great intensity and worked hard for the whole 80 minutes to snatch a huge 4-1 win. The first goal of the game was scored by the Wolfpack on a beautiful play created by Jack Payne ’15 who laid the ball off to King Jin ’17 who took a great touch to finish the play. MacDuffie evened the score with about 3 minutes left in the half but the Wolfpack responded a minute later whenKris Carroll ’16 found the back of the net after a botched clearance by the MacDuffie defense. The second half was completely dominated by Hyde who went on to score 2 more goals (Sean Pease ’15 and Jack Payne ’15). Damon Gomes ’15 had a huge game in goal making 9 saves and Sean Pease ‘15 earned himself man of the match after an outstanding game in the midfield. He created plays for his teammates and played solid defensively. The boys look forward to The Master’s School this Wednesday (4:00) for their second home game. We hope to see the Wolfpack Nation out in full force!
