Wolfpack BVS Strong, Bows to Rocky Hill 2-4

Hyde Woodstock Boys Varsity Soccer
9/10

Hyde: 2
Rocky Hill: 4

Despite losing the season opener, the Wolfpack finished the game on an optimistic note. Playing a full game for the first time this fall, the boys struggled to stay organized and to finish a few key chances in the first half, leading to a 4-0 deficit. However, after making changes heading into the second half, the boys rallied and turned the game around. Jack Payne 15’ ran onto a nice through ball from Dawit Kiflemariam 15’ and found the back of the net with just the keeper to beat. The goal gave the Wolfpack a much needed spark, which led to another hard fought goal from Payne, assisted by Kris Carroll 16’. George Sawchuck 15’ played a solid game in the back, and Sean Pease 15’ held the midfield all game for the team. The boys look forward to Macduffie this Saturday (2:00) for their first home game, where they plan to use the momentum of today’s match to get the first win of the season.
