Wolfpack Boys Varsity Lax Wins Big vs Falmouth

April 5th 2014

Hyde School: 14
Falmouth Academy: 1

This past Saturday The Hyde Men’s Lacrosse team took to the turf for a face-off against Falmouth Academy.  The Wolfpack put the pedal to the metal and never stopped.  Hyde was clearly the better team as Falmouth fought hard and exhibited great sportsmanship throughout the contest but was ultimately defeated by a score of 14-1.  Hyde Schools Evan Bolland hit for 4 goals.  Sam Bell (’15) scored 3 goals.  Jimmy Talbot (’15), Parker Roma (’14) and Zach Heatley (’14) each added 2 goals respectively.  Ian Toder, a sophomore who could certainly be considered one of the most improved members of the team, scored a nice goal to tally his first of the season and of his varsity career.  Critical assists were provided by Zach Heatley with 2 and Ian Toder, Jimmy Talbot, Parker Roma and Jack Pain (’15-also quite new to the game and rapidly improving) each added 1 assist.  Hyde will play St. Andrews on April 7th and then Suffield Academy on April 9th.  As this teams continues to find chemistry and work out kinks both offensively and defensively, they continue to improve —we are excited for the months ahead.
