In the Wolfpack’s last JV game of the season, the team came out strong fighting through a tough Deerfield offense. Jack Greenberg ’15 was active defensively with three first half steals and an impressive three point play. Jason Zhao ’15 scored four first half points, using his quickness to get in the lane and finish at the basket. Omri West ’16 continued his consistent play from throughout the season and was a spark offensively with five first half points. Despite this, the Wolfpack lost momentum at the end of the first half and was down at halftime. In the second half, the wheels came off as Deerfield capitalized on a stunted offense and frequent Hyde turnovers. The team only registered 8 second half points, and Deerfield went on for an easy victory. It was a disappointing way to end the season, but does not define our season. Through many highs and lows this team grew and matured as a group and as individuals. We look forward to next year for a victory against a strong Deerfield team.
