On Wednesday the Wolfpack traveled to Wheeler to face off against a quick and scrappy Wheeler squad. Hyde played tough defense and the score was close in the opening minutes of the game. Marcus Greenridge ’17 led the charge on both defense and offense, scoring 12 first half points. Johnny Schaer ’14 also played hard defense from the wing forcing turnovers which were eventually converted into easy points. Despite a promising start, the Wolfpack went down by 17 at halftime and were not able to recover. Turnovers plagued the Hyde offense, despite strong play from point guard Ian Toader ’16 at the point guard position. The squad hopes for a strong week in practice with a focus on ball control, smart passes, and dribbling. Moving forward, Hyde looks forward to its next game against Tabor on Saturday February 13th.
