Worcester Academy: 43
The Boys Junior Varsity Basketball team was looking for its third straight win as it faced a very good Worcester Academy team. The first half was all Worcester Academy as they took a 14 point lead going into the halftime break. They capitalized on Hyde’s turnovers and played very tough defense that only allowed 14 Wolfpack points. In the second half, the Wokfpack showed it was hungry for a third consecutive victory. Anchored by Jack Greenburg ‘s ’15 strong defensive effort, Hyde’s offense started rolling. Ian Toder ’16 made great plays at the point guard position and got the two big men rolling, Marcus Greenidge ’17 and Omri West ’16 who had 15 and 14 points respectively. Tyler Jenkins ’15 also hit a big 3 point shot that gave the Wolfpack its first lead of the game in the second half and from then on Hyde never looked back. They locked their third straight victory by 10 points. The Boys look to extend their winning streak to 4 games when they meet Marianapolis on January 24th.
