St. Andrews – 42
Woodstock played St. Andrews in a league match-up. The girls fought hard on defense in their 2-3 zone but struggled to work together on the offensive side of the game. The team found themselves down by nine points at the half with only seniors Maia Johnson and Janicha Diaz scoring. In the second half the defense was still stellar but Hyde started to find its rhythm on offense. Ndeye Ndiaye ‘ 15 added 7 points and senior Virginia Garrity added 2 points. All in Hyde fought hard from start to finish but they haven’t found their rhythm yet but that will come. Woodstock’s next game is against Williams on Wednesday.

Williams – 12
Hyde worked on their defensive rotation in practice and it payed off in the game against Williams. Not only was their defense smothering Hyde’s offense began to find its rhythm with an inside out game. Junior Ndeye Ndiaye (Dossou) had her best output of the season with 17 points, which led all scorers. With only one sub the girls had to stay out of foul trouble which they did. It was a strong effort from start to finish. The team has a week to practice before facing St. Andrews again on Saturday January 25th.
