In the Wolfpack’s final JV game of the season, the team came out strong. Players were focused and set a tone early in the first quarter. Will Kuphal ’15 and Errol Jordine ’14 and Jack Greenberg ‘15 scored multiple touchdowns early putting Hyde up 21-0 at the start of the second quarter. The wolfpack’s attack was thwarted with the exception of one touchdown in the second quarter, and Pomfret was able to score making the score 28-6 at the half.
In the second half, The Wolfpack was hampered with injuries. Devin Peterson ’16 stepped up and played tight end for the entire second half, doing a stellar job to keep the Wolfpack in the game. Justin Irby ’14 and Matt Feingold ‘15 made crucial interceptions in the second half to hold off Pomfrets offensive attack. The boys showed determination and heart to finish out the game and come away with a close win. It was a great way to cap a great JV football season.
