Male athlete of the month is junior football player Jack Greenberg. Jack has had an outstanding attitude on the football team and has stepped up as a consistent and reliable varsity player. Last week, Jack started at middle linebacker in the varsity game vs. Kent’s Hill in the absence of post graduate Todd Jones. Jack called the defensive plays and made numerous tackles. His confidence and strong play anchored the defense and helped the Wolfpack win 43-18. Jack has been part of the core of the J.V. team all season and has helped the team to some great wins. We look forward to Jack’s future contributions as an athlete at Hyde. He’s a great team player and he sets a great example for others.
Female athlete of the month is Naiwen Zhang for her commitment and great attitude in soccer. She is a key contributor to both teams. On J.V., she leads the team from the back of the defense. On Varsity, she is a starting defender that has earned her spot. She consistently takes feedback from her fellow varsity defenders very well. She then takes what she learns in varsity and brings it to the J.V. games. Great job Naiwen.
