Kent’s Hill             18

On Saturday, Hyde took another long trek up north to face the Kent’s Hill Huskies in an Evergreen League divisional match-up. It was a cold, brisk day and the threat of rain and snow was real. Hyde controlled the clock and tempo of the game from start to finish mainly due to the ground and pound running game led by PG Kyle Jordan ’14. Kyle finished the day with well over 200 yards and three scores. Marcus Greenidge ’17 had a great day also rushing for a score and a two-point conversion. He also threw a touchdown pass to senior tight-end Kenny Grant ’14. Junior Dexter Thompson ’15 found the end zone in the second half on a nice 35 yard run. Junior linebacker Jesse McKiernan ’15 intercepted a two point conversion pass attempt in the second half and ran it back 95 yards to give the Wolfpack two more points. Finally, kicker Cameron Parzick ’15 was three for three on extra point kick attempts.

Defensively, Hyde played stingy and was very tough. Junior linebacker Jack Greenberg ’15 had a great day at middle linebacker anchoring the defense in the absence of PG linebacker Todd Jones ’14.

Hyde looks forward to another home game when they face the Ravens of Portsmouth Abbey this Friday at 3pm here in Woodstock. The Wolfpack now stand at 4-2 on the season.
