Wolfpack Girls JV Soccer Falls to Barrington Christian Academy, 0-6

Girls JV Soccer vs. Barrington Christian Academy
Wednesday, October 9
Hyde: 0
Barrington Christian Academy: 6
On Wednesday, October 9th the girls JV soccer team traveled to Swansea, MA to play Barrington Christian Academy.  Despite the strong defensive play throughout the first half by Angel Sima ’15 and gutsy goal-tending by Lily Sun ’14, Hyde fell behind quickly. BCA’s offense was able to make their way around Hyde defense who struggled throughout the game to maintain their positions and keep their space on the field. The midfield led by Jessica Shao ’14 helped to move the play away from the goal and toward the other half where Justine Zhang’14 made quick offensive plays toward the BCA goal. The first half ended with Hyde down 0-5. The second half Hyde started with a strong offensive line with Sun playing on the field. Quick plays and hustle helped keep the ball away from our goal. When the defense failed to tackle the BCA offense in the second half, Mary Yoder ’14 showed a hidden talent with some stellar saves with her first time in goal. The final score of the game was 0-6 and showed Hyde JV girls team where they needed to pull together on the field and the significant conditioning they still needed to do to run an entire game with only one extra player.
