Bath: GVL vs. Gould

Hyde — 3

Gould — 12

The Girls Varsity Lacrosse team traveled to Gould Academy on a wet Saturday afternoon for the last game of their regular season. The girls wanted to go out hard, but never quite hit their stride. Gould scored 9 goals in the first half and Hyde did not get on the board until Julia Jackson took the ball to the net with 20 seconds left on the clock in the first half. After a rallying half time chat, the scoring was more even in the second half with Gould netting three and Hyde two, but it wasn’t enough for the outcome Hyde wanted. One of Hyde’s second half goals came from Shannon Ward who won the draw and drove to net with the grit to score and the other from Jill Tolman off of a behind-the-net feed from Olivia Griffing. Other standouts for the game were Sonya Kobayashi who played feisty defense and Lutes Bartlett who played a great transition game. Next, Hyde heads to Kents Hill for a MAISAD conference playoff game Wednesday afternoon.
