Bath: GLAX vs. Hebron 5/3 & Kents Hill 5/4

Lady Phoenix- 2

Hebron – 13

The Lady Phoenix traveled up to Hebron this past Friday to face what turned out to be a ready and able, all too familiar, rival of Hyde’s. The home team came out strong with seven goals in the first half and an offense to be reckoned with. Carolyn Moore and Susanna McManus both contributed to the retaliation efforts with their own goals, the two of which were demonstrative of the ladies agility and stick skills. Hebron’s combination of a solid defensive unit and unified offense proved to be a difficult task for our ladies, despite some of the impressive athleticism demonstrated by the Phoenix. Shout outs to Chloe Blaylock and Jailene Martinez for their tough and resilient attitudes on the field!

Hyde 4

Kent’s Hill 11

The Lady Phoenix travelled to Kent’s Hill on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Kent’s Hill got off to a quick start putting four in the back of the net before Julia Jackson took it to goal and scored with sixteen minutes left in the first half. It took tight defense and loud communication for our defense to come together as a unit and play smart and united. Chloe Blaylock and Ferina Li took their jobs as defenders seriously and could be heard across the field. In the second half another one of our loudest players, Sonya Kobayashi, took advantage of her free position and scored her first goal of the season. Playing down, the girls kept up their morale and fight. Julia Jackson and Carolyn Moore both saw the back of the net with less than five minutes to go. The Lady Phoenix will travel to Gould Academy next week for our last regular season game, wish us luck!
