Hebron Track Meet – 4/20/13

The boys and girls track teams travelled to Hebron Academy for competition against our MAISAD leagues rivals. At meet time, the rain had stopped and the temperature was perfect for a good day of track and field. Our boys placed first overall and our girls placed second. Overall I was pleased with our performance and competitive spirit… particularly all the improvements on the day.

Our top three performers on the day were Katie Comeaux `13 who won the girls shot put, discus and javelin. Katie’s shot put and discus throws were personal bests on the season. Mady Preece `13 won the girl’s 200m and place second in both the 100m and 300m hurdles. Freshman Heaven Redd `16 grabbed third place finished in the 400m and long jump, and she place fourth in the 200m dash. All three girls along with Hope Stinson `14 were members of the winning 4 x 100m relay team.

Significant season improvements on the day included…

Diamond Brown `16 – personal bests in the discus (by over 4 feet) and shot put.

Dianna Huang `14 – personal bests in the 100m and 200m dashes.

Haley Mandall `15 – a personal best in the shot put by over 2 feet.

Significant season improvements on the day included…

Luis Allen `15 – a 15 foot improvement in the javelin.

Cody Baker `13 – a 6 foot+ improvement in the javelin.

Tavis Duvall `16 – a 12 inch improvement in the triple jump.

CJ Lutts `13 – a 1- ft 8 inch improvement in the shot put.

Jamie Lynch `15 – a nearly 5 foot improvement in the javelin.

Terry Norris `13 – a three foot improvement in the discus.

Bryan Wang `15 – a 3 ft 8.5 inch improvement in the shot put.


Our next meet is Monday, April 22nd at Sacopee Valley High School… a 3:00PM start.
