Hyde hosted New England powerhouse the Portsmouth Abbey School on a cold and windy “spring” afternoon. Portsmouth Abbey jumped all over the Wolf Pack in early action and quickly built up a 4-0 lead to round out the first quarter. In the second quarter, ” new-comer” in goal Michael Dore ’13 made some great saves along with steady defense from Ryan Cassidy ’13 and John Nelson ’14 but Hyde was unable to capitalize and was down 9-0 at the half. The second half was much of the same until finally in the 4th quarter Hyde got on the board with a goal from Parker Roma ’14. Hyde would not go away quietly and within minutes tallied another 4 goals from Roma, Joe Yanovitch ’13,
Alex Holland ’13 and Connor McLaughlin ’13 but it was a little too late as Portsmouth was able to cruise to victory 12-5. Up next Falmouth Academy stay tuned!
