Central Florida Leadership Academy girls ready for the Valentine’s Day Dance

The Central Florida Leadership Academy, a Hyde-affiliated charter school serving grades 6-9, located in Orlando, Florida held its first ever Valentine’s Day Dance on February 16th. Donors from throughout the community sent in “gently used dresses” for the girls who cannot afford their own fancy outfits. The students had a wonderful time trying on the lovely dresses and transforming into young princesses.

Creative recycling bins

Art is also in the air as we approach spring here in Florida.  A new city-wide recycling program has given students an opportunity to create works of art on new recycling bins in return for donations to school programs.  It has been a fun opportunity for the students to display their creative talents.
