The Hyde Lady Phoenix went into the locker room at halftime on the road with a slim 3 point lead, but they dominated the Huskies of Kents Hill in the second half on their way to a convincing 40-20 victory.  The team remains undefeated and now has a record of 11-0.  Sr. Katie Comeaux scored all of her team high 10 points in the second half to fire up her teammates.  Comeaux also collected 7 rebounds and 3 steals.  Sr. Kara Fischer played an excellent game as well scoring 7 points, gathering 7 rebounds, and swiping 8 steals. Fr. Diamond Brown did a fine job of controlling the glass as she registered 8 rebounds and scored 5 points.  So. Jailene Martinez partnered up with Brown to control the paint and scored 6 points of her own.  Jr. Carolyn Moore did a fine job of providing depth in the post and scored a critical basket at the end of the first half to send the team into the locker room on a high note.  Jr. Shannon Ward continued to prove deadly against zone defenses with her outside shooting scoring 8 points.  This game was one of the best games played by the Phoenix in what has been an amazing season.  There is no doubt that teams around the area are starting to take notice as coaches from other teams are starting to show up at Hyde games to take note.  The team is proud of its success thus far, but it remains committed to working hard to accomplish much more.  Go Phoenix!
