Coach Polgar writes, “Kara led the Lady Phoenix to an impressive season opening victory over Pine Tree Academy. She led all scorers with 20 points and played awesome defense. Fischer was recently selected unanimously as a team captain by her teammates and coaches which was recognition of the excellent leadership that she offers the team. Her attitude and work ethic on the court and around campus is consistently stellar. Fischer missed most of last season due to a knee injury, but the manner in which she has gotten her senior season off to such a great start is evidence that she is intent on leading this team to greatness.”
