The Hyde Girls Varsity Soccer Team took on Southfield on Saturday, October 20th for their annual Fall Family Weekend. Spirits were high, as parents, faculty, and students all crowded the sideline. Hyde came out strong and was threatening early. But as time passed, Southfield was able to sneak in their first goal. Within fifteen minutes, Hyde found themselves down 3-0. Their spirits were still high but scoring is not an easy task for the Wolfpack.
At halftime, the Hyde girls discussed the changes they needed to make to turn the game around. They knew that scoring three goals was not going to be easy but it wasn’t impossible either. Hyde started off the second half strong. They put together several scoring opportunities but were unable to capitalize. The second half was scoreless, leaving the final score to be 3-0. The second half felt like a victory for the Hyde girls. Every player got to play and they hard put one hundred percent of their effort into the game. Everyone on the sideline could tell that those girls never gave up. It was proud moment for the Hyde Wolfpack.
