Bath: WJVS vs. Hyde Woodstock

Hyde Bath – 1

Hyde Woodstock – 2

Hyde Bath Women’s JV soccer hosted their sister school’s squad this past Saturday for parents and families as a part of Fall Family Weekend.  It was an exciting game, and great efforts were shown by all.  The first goal came off of a penalty kick for Hyde Woodstock.  The swift shot was placed perfectly in the corner of the net and Woodstock found themselves up by one.  Hyde Bath did not give up and continued to control the pace of the game, trying to find an opportunity to take a shot on net.  That opportunity came for Bath, as Eve Amato scored for Bath, tallying her first goal and the second team goal for the season.  Excitement was high, and with all the support of the fans, Bath continued to fight.  Unfortunately, Woodstock had a break away in the second half and despite defensive efforts the ball sailed high in the air and found the back of the net.  The game ended 1-2 with Woodstock on top.

Hyde – 0

Kents Hill – 2

The women’s JV squad travelled to Kents Hill last Wednesday afternoon, for a late game on the turf in the rain.  Despite their efforts, and several opportunities the Hyde ladies could not get a shot past Kents Hill goalie.  Defensive efforts were led by Imani Hiller-Bateau and Brianna Reeves-Eliopoulos. Offensive efforts led by Susanna McManus and Claire Yin. The Girls are looking forward to the next time they face Kents Hill.  Working up to that game in practice they will work on finishing the ball and taking good shots.
