Hyde School 6
Gould Academy 0
Gould Academy traveled to Bath to play a MAISAD league match on Saturday on our turf field. Hyde school scored two goals early in the first half of play and controlled the tempo of the game from that point on. Jamal Frazer-Borden`13 scored the first goal off an assist from post graduate Ethan Morrow. Ethan Morrow scored the next goal two minutes later on a feed from midfielder Eduardo Gadsden`13. The score at half time was 2-0.
Defender Andrew Davis`15 returned to the lineup in a limited capacity, playing 20 minutes in each half as part of his continuing rehab for a tweaked hip flexor. Four minutes into the second half Davis`15 made an impressive throw-in that became an assist when Ethan Morrow put it into the back of the net. One minute later PG Ethan Morrow had another goal off an assist from Jamal Frazer-Borden`13. Five minutes later Morrow converted again on a loose ball inside the box. Jamal Frazer-Borden`13 scored the final goal of the match in the 73rd minute off an assist from Eduardo Gadsden`13. Keeper Billy Martinez`14 is credited with the shutout. Solid defending from Nabil Eshraghian`13, Wondo Shaw`13, PG Sam Mann, Andrew Davis`15 and Wilson MacMillan`14 kept the ball moving forward and on the feet of our midfielders and forwards. The team looks forward to its next match this Wednesday at home against Berwick Academy.
