The Hyde JV women’s soccer team travelled to Hebron Academy Wednesday afternoon for their first MAISAD match of the season. Although the game ended with a 0-2 loss, the girls worked very hard throughout the game. Our offensive efforts were the best yet, with shots on net from Susanna McManus ’14, Holly Erving ’14, and Natalya Roman ’15. The defensive unit, led by Imani Hiller-Bateau ’15 and Diamond Brown ’16, has been working on clearing the ball in practice and was able to implement that on the field against Hebron. Goalie, Chloe Blaylock ’16, made seven saves in her third appearance in the net. With each game, the team shows vast improvements and we are looking forward to our first victory, hopefully coming in the next game, a rematch against Hebron on the 29th.
