Boys Varsity Soccer played their first MAISAD league match yesterday against Kents Hill School.   The match was played on turf under sunny skies with light variable winds.  Kents Hill scored first on a direct kick just outside the box.  Post Grad  Ethan Morrow countered just four minutes later scoring on a direct kick that the Kents Hill keeper got his hands on, but allowed in.  Morrow scored his second goal shortly after off a nicely placed ball from Kiefer Cundy`15 to go up a goal.  However, Kents Hill tied the game before the half. 

                Kents Hill took the lead briefly in the second half, but Jamal Frazer-Borden`13 tied it 3-3,  with midfielder Kiefer Cundy`15 notching his second assist of the game.  The Hyde Phoenix went ahead in the 70th minute when Ethan Morrow scored his third goal off a direct kick that glanced off a defender before finding the back of the net.  Jamal Frazer-Borden`13 scored his second of the match just two minutes later, Nabil Eshraghian`13 had the assist.  With 4 minutes left in the match, defender Wondo Shaw`13 scored his first goal of the young season on a corner kick.  Ethan Morrow and Jamal Frazer-Borden were not done however.  With just 15 seconds left on the clock, Frazer-Borden put a thru-ball in for Morrow  who scored his 4th goal of the game.  Additional noteworthy play came from post graduate Sam Mann who worked hard and made some strong tackles at center back and Eduardo Gadsden`13 who along with Kiefer Cundy `15 controlled the play through the midfield.  Keeper Billy Martinez`14 made some nice saves and generally had a solid day in net.
