Hyde-Woodstock – 11

St. Andrews – 7

Hyde faced St. Andrews in the semi-finals of the SENE Division II lacrosse tournament.  Personnel changes were the name of the game this week as the team prepared for the tournament.  Fortunately, the team rebounded and was able to overcome the adversity and rise to the challenge.  The wolf pack was first on the scoreboard with 4 unanswered goals.  The offense passed well and often racking up the most assists in any game this season at 9.  The defense contained their shooters and double teamed well.  St. Andrews scored with two minutes remaining in the first half which was a testament to not only the defense but also Jenna Kowalski ’13 the goalie.  The most dangerous team is the team with nothing to lose and no pressure and St. Andrews came out in the second half with that mentality bringing themselves to within 2 goals until Becca Katz ’12 scored for Hyde.  From that point on the team never looked back winning the game in solid fashion.  The scoring was as follows; Jenna Kowalski ’13 – goalie with 15 saves, Alina Donnelly ’13 with 6 goals and 1 assist, Andrea Sayegh ’12 with 2 goals and 3 assists, Becca Katz ’12 with 2 goals and 1 assist, Bryn Nolan ’12 with 1 goal and 1 assist, Yang Yi ’12 with 2 assists, and Katherine Hagood ’13 with 1 assist.  Hyde faces PCD in the SENE championship at PCD this Friday.
