Bath: Hyde JV LAX drops 2nd game to Hebron Lumberjacks

Team:   Men’s Future Varsity Lacrosse

Date:   May 9, 2012

Score:  Hyde:  0    Hebron Academy: 11

The first period saw the Phoenix stand their ground defensively as Kellin Sweeney ’14 stopped 7 of 10 shots on net and affected 5 clears to the offensive zone.  Defensively, Sagel Prosser ’13, Marley Dutton ’13, and Harry Hu ’12 each showed that they are working on and off the field to improve their ground ball percentage and their ability to get the ball to the offense.

Unfortunately, that is where the ball stopped.  Although fundamental skills are improving, the ability to move the ball with consistency and keep possession in the offensive zone eludes the Phoenix “O”.

Net minder Kellin Sweeney earned the “Dirty Ball” award as he stood tough in goal (again) stopping 26 of 37 shots on net for a 70 save %.

FV’s next goal…is beat GOULD.
